Michael was proud of our effort. It was roughly 6 miles round trip. We did it in under 4 hours and 45 minutes.

The rest of the day went as follows:
We picked up our numbers at Turtle Rock Park. I bought socks and a new waterproof shell. We encountered my chiropractor, Penelope (a fellow Death Ride participant). She kept us company as we ate lunch. Michael and I went to nearby Grover Hot Springs and soaked. We readied our bicycles. Made and ate dinner. Well before it was really dark we were in bed.
